Transfers for Medical Care
The Salesforce Health Association reimburses transportation expenses to patients who have difficulty traveling due to illness or injury as transfer costs when the transportation expenses paid up front satisfy the three requirements below and are deemed necessary. These transportation expenses are also reimbursed for dependents as family transfer costs.

Requirements for Reimbursement of Transfer Costs
- Medical transfer is necessary to receive appropriate medical care covered by insurance
- Mobility is significantly difficult
- Medical transfer is urgent or unavoidable
The Salesforce Health Association pays the full amount of transfer costs calculated based on the standard, most economical route and means of transportation for the transfer.
In addition, a daily allowance and other personnel expenses may also be provided for up to one person accompanying a patient during a transfer, such as a doctor assisting in the transfer, only when a physician determines it necessary for medical management.
